What is a hand peel?

A hand peel can be done as a single session or a series of three to achieve the best results.  The Glytone hand peel consists of 20% trichloroacetic acid, 10% lactic acid, and 0.5% kojic acid. These acids all work together to lighten and brighten the skin on the hands and reverse the signs of aging when applied to the skin.

Is there downtime?

Any kind of peel will cause some degree of flaking or peeling with varying amounts of redness. There may be redness, flaking, and peeling 7-14 days after the procedure. SPF 30+ must be applied every  two hours to the area treated during the peeling process.

Is there downtime?

Some patients may experience swelling, bruising, redness, and/or tenderness. This will subside within 1-2 weeks. Patients should limit strenuous physical activity involving the hands for 24-48 hours post procedure.
